The best and most upscale of the three properties in the Villa resort complex in Los Cabos, Villa La Estancia is attractively priced for a resort of its class, and it’s a little quieter and more adult- and couples-oriented than its two neighboring sister properties (Villa del Arco and Villa del Palmar, which have more amenities for kids). The beach is somewhat narrower than it is in other parts of Cabo, some restaurant items are not part of the optional all-inclusive plan, and timeshare pitches can be a nuisance; but the property offers a swimmable beach (somewhat rare for the area because of a strong undertow and rip currents), romantic sunset dinners on the beach with tiki torch lighting, strong overall service, a bright fitness center, a nice zero-entry pool, unique activities such as bartending and cooking classes, and good restaurants for an (optional) all-inclusive. All accommodations have a good amount of space. “Unique Suites” come with extra perks such as complimentary beach bags, fruit baskets, bottles of wine, bottles of tequila, L’Occitane bath products, and use of the hydrotherapy circuit at the 31,000-square-foot Desert Spa (the largest spa in the state of Baja California Sur). All guests also have access to the amenities at both neighboring sister hotels.
On-site COVID-19 antigen testing is available for guests prior to returning to the United States, but it isn’t complimentary (although guests will receive a resort credit equal to the cost of the test, which they can spend at the resort during their stay). In the event of a positive test, the guest can extend their stay for up to 14 nights at a discounted rate.
