With excellent service and luxurious amenities such as L’Occitane bath products and furnished terraces with jacuzzis, this well-rounded condo-style resort feels significantly more upscale than its price tag would suggest (the TripValue here is +6, which is outstanding). It’s quieter and more couples-friendly than its more family-oriented sister property next door (the Villa del Palmar Flamingos), but both resorts have above average beachfronts by Riviera Nayarit standards and all amenities are shared between the two properties. The resort offers a big lagoon-style pool with a swim-up bar and zero-entry points, a plethora of activities including yoga and Zumba classes, very high quality spa and fitness facilities, large condominiums with full kitchens or kitchenettes, in-suite washer/dryers, a good on-site Mexican steakhouse, comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach, and a relatively relaxed atmosphere. It’s a little bit of a walk to the nearby village of Bucerias, but the taxi ride there is quick and cheap. All-inclusive plans are available (but not obligatory) and a variety of water sports such as jet skiing, parasailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, and whale watching are offered in the vicinity.
On-site COVID-19 antigen testing is available for guests prior to returning to the United States, but it isn’t complimentary (although guests will receive a resort credit equal to the cost of the test, which they can spend at the resort during their stay). In the event of a positive test, the guest can extend their stay for up to 14 nights at a discounted rate.
