Oasis Cancun Lite is the even more economical section of the Grand Oasis Cancun (Baa1) resort. The only real difference between the Lite section and the Grand section is that the Lite section rooms are more basic. Lite guests also don’t have access to all amenities of the resort, including some of the restaurants. The greater property is known for its plethora of entertainment and lively party scene, both during Spring Break in March and April and throughout the year. The party atmosphere may not be for everyone, the grounds can be quite crowded at peak times of year, and the on-site restaurants vary in quality; but the resort offers an excellent white-sand beach, the only on-site casino in Cancun’s Hotel Zone, a par-3 golf course (9 holes), DJs and live music, resident iguanas and peacocks, and an enormous swimming pool that winds its way through the property with three swim-up bars. The heart of Cancun isn’t far, but there’s plenty of on-site nightlife, too, with options ranging from a hookah bar to various nightclubs to cabaret burlesque shows. The strong pool and beach areas here help the Overall Beach Resort Rating significantly. Activities include Pilates and yoga classes, beach volleyball, spin classes, Zumba classes, beach soccer, and beach and foam parties. Aquaworld is within walking distance; the impressive selection of water sports there includes excellent scuba diving, parasailing, snorkeling with whale sharks and other marine life, Flowrider surfing, jet skiing, jet boat rides, deep sea fishing, Flyboarding, jungle boat tours, day trips to Isla Mujeres, and more. Jet skiing is also available right on the Grand Oasis beach.
Complimentary on-site COVID-19 antigen tests are available prior to departure for guests traveling to the United States (minimum three-night stay required for eligibility).
